You indicated on the Tech Needs survey or through a ticket that you do not have internet available at your home.
At this time, we have been unable to acquire any hot spots, but we are hoping to have them by early next week.
Many cell companies are offering unlimited data to existing customers (AT&T and Sprint are, Verizon is adding data to plans). See options here: https://its.humboldt.
The University may be able to reimburse you for additional data costs if you are able to increase your data plan during this time. To request reimbursement approval, see the Purchasing Related to COVID-19 section of the Instructions on Purchases and Travel Cancellations email.
If home internet is not available for you, you may request an exception to use your office from your immediate supervisor who will work with your Vice President. Note that any CSU employees 65 and older or with underlying health condition which makes them more vulnerable to COVID-19 must not come to campus and are advised to practice self-isolation. If this applies to you, please contact your appropriate administrator. Employees 65 -and-over or with an underlying health condition which makes them more vulnerable to COVID-19 are placed on paid administrative leave until they can return to campus (or until we can get you a hotstpot) if they cannot telecommute. Please follow this link for additional important COVID-19 employment information. Please note that this information is subject to change
We recommend having a telecommute agreement on record in case we are able to get an internet solution for your home in the next few weeks.
