Install Absence Management Performance Fix From CO - non-baseline posting, BSL_90_AM_INC0120111

Printer-friendly version
Description of Change:

One time change performed by the Chad Woods group at the CO under INC0151259. This change was applied or will be applied to the production systems at all campuses.

The change as described by CO HR:

This fix is an unusual one, as neither campuses nor ourselves knew there was a performance problem. It was occurring on the back end at the Database level and had the potential to bring down the whole environment, especially when a lot of people were active. Big campuses particularly. It isn’t particularly noticeable to the users of the page (we definitely didn’t see anything).

The only testing required is to enter some time in Absence Self Service and when tabbing from the Begin date to the End date field is when the performance fix is occurring. The DBA’s will be monitoring all systems to make sure it behaves itself. As long as it works, that is all that is required from you – it’s unlikely you will notice any performance improvement. It might be slightly faster, but you will barely notice it.

No issues noted with PAHUMPRD after the fix.
