If your student workers have been experiencing problems logging into myHumboldt using their <username>_CS HSU User Name, please make sure they have the following information to avoid future access difficulties.

Student workers should log in to myHumboldt using whichever of their identities is required for the tasks they need to accomplish through the portal; each of their identities provides them with different application access. Note that this may require the use of two separate browsers if two different identities (regular and _CS) are required to access tasks as part of the same work session.

If your student worker wants to have their student Gmail account open at the same time as they are working in PeopleSoft HCM under their _CS identity, they should follow these steps:

  1. Log into myHumboldt using their student access credentials. 
  2. Open Gmail
  3. Log out of that myHumboldt session but leave their student Gmail browser tab open.
  4. Log into a new session of myHumboldt, in the same browser, using their _CS User Name and open PeopleSoft HCM. 

This allows student workers to have their student Gmail and their _CS  accounts open at the same time. Please also remind them that the application inactivity timeouts under each individual login will still apply.
