The new OneBox voicemail system is going live at 7am tomorrow, March 6, 2012. If you have not yet configured your voicemail box on the new system, please do so today, using the instructions at http://www.humboldt.edu/its_internal/new-voicemail-setup.

If your voicemail box is not configured for the new system before it goes live, callers to your extension will hear a generic system message instead of your name and personalized greeting, and you will not be able to retrieve messages until you have configured the mailbox.

While almost all the system commands are the same on the new system as on the old, there are a few differences, so we’ve prepared a new Quick Reference Guide which you can download from the ITS website.

The OneBox system incorporates extensive guidance through detailed system prompts, so you shouldn’t experience any problems navigating your new voicemail. If you do encounter anything that’s not clear or need to accomplish a particular task but you’re not quite sure how, please contact TNS at x5000 or the Technology Help Desk at (707) 826-HELP (4357).

As you get to know the new system, think about whether there’s any functionality you’d like to see added. We’ll be conducting a survey in the next month or so to prioritize the functions to add to Phase 2 of the project in the Fall.
